Blueberry Chia Smudding

It's thick and creamy and full of antioxidants, healthy fats, and if you decided to pour into jelly jars and freeze to eat later as a dessert, I would not blame you a bit! Smoother than a pudding, thicker than a smoothie, it's a "smudding!"


Blueberries are low in calories, high in fiber, vitamin C and vitamin K and known to buffer your body from free radicals, which are unstable molecules that can damage your cells and contribute to aging and diseases. Chia seeds are high in fiber, protein and omega-3 fatty acids. I tossed in some avocado for creaminess and my favorite protein powder, for you know, protein, and whiz until well combined and smooth.


Recipe:

1/2c. frozen wild blueberries

1/4 avocado

1 tbsp. chia seeds

1 serving vegan vanilla protein powder of your liking

1/2c. Plant Milk of Choice: almond, hemp, coconut, or my personal favorite, cashew (add more if you're wanting to drink and not spoon feed yourself!)

1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

Cinnamon, to taste

Optional: 1tsp. raw honey

A couple of ice cubes


Whiz, whiz, whiz in a high-speed blender until creamy.
